Have to try that , I turned off CarPlay because native software much better in a Cadillac, really don’t like the way Cadillac integrated CarPlay compared to my other cars

 

Found out that you can drag the camera button to the tray menu under home ,wife always complains that she had to go into a menu to turn camera on to pull in garage

 

Yeh that discovery was a game changer for me 😂

 

I like to use turn signal when stop. It makes side lights turn on.

 

Well, if you are idling, like I do when I smoke my cigars, when the "Shutdown in 5 minutes" comes up, I just press the brake and tap the gear selector up (without hitting the side button to engage) and viola! another 20 minutes....lol

 

Try holding the start stop button when you first turn the car on for like 10 seconds it will cut the 5 minutes shutdown off completely. But you have to do it every time you turn your car on.

 

I know this is an old thread, but My favorite hidden feature is something I only know for sure to be on the CT4 and 5 with full digital screens and can only be discovered at night, or maybe in a tunnel.

If you turn the light adjustment dial all the way down you will turn off the ambient lighting, infotainment screen, most button’s lights, and you will activate a 4 gauge style. It is a black screen with minimal information and low light emitting simplified information, leaving the cabin pretty much completely dark.

edit: just figured out the door pockets utilize a slightly hidden space on driver and passenger side to place personal umbrellas

And forgot one, if in any mode except Tour, you can quickly press to the floor and release the accelerator to enter a precision shifting mode that creates quicker shift, less time searching in lower gears, and early throttle downs to keep rpm’s up and allow for more excessive exhaust noises when coming to a stop. (If not actively using it will disengage, and when you stop you have to reactive this feature.)

 

I need to start a post on how many nanny tech items GM has on these Escalades that I have now shut off.
