Since I busted the crankcase return nipple off my intake manifold, I've been thinking about replacing my stocker. I've seen this manifold in a few articles and am intrigued about it, but have never heard anyone use it. With all the power-mongers doing just about everything to the LS6 on their V's, I'd expect someone to have tried it by now...but never heard of its use.

Anyone use it, heard of anyone using it?

I thought the results showed you needed a pretty big cam to take advantage of this intakes enhanced breathing. I seem to remember that the gains on stock vehicles or slightly modded ones was minimal. I'm sure someone will chime in.

This is what Summit says about it on their website:

Made from space-age polymer composite material, these FAST LSX multi-piece component intake manifolds show a 20 HP increase on the GM LS1 engine and a 15 HP increase on the GM Corvette LS6 engine, with no loss of drivability or low rpm torque. Best of all, the FAST space-age composite material polymer intake is 30 percent stronger than the stock polymer unit. Unlike aftermarket aluminum intakes, these intakes avoid becoming a power-robbing heat stink. These manifolds come with integrated nitrous oxide injector ports and the ability to accept a larger-than-stock throttle body for increased fuel flow. In addition, the LSX manifolds have the capability to be ported and are easily accessible as a result of the multi-piece design.

The 90 Fast will show 10 rwhp/ 10rwt over a ls6 intake on a 346.... This is on a h/c ls1. Stock engine, you are better off with stock ls6 intake.

Most guys on the LS1Tech site switch to the LS6 intake. That's what we have. No more power with aftermarket intakes unless you have head work and cams. Don't waste the $$$$. The intake on the V is a good one!

This is right, its really an LS-1 manifold replacement. I have also heard that it has warping problems. Who needs the grief........:tisk:
