What is it with men and high speed car chases that are endangering lives? It's like watching football:

There he goes
Oh, come on come come on!
That was a close one
Look at those dumb fat cops
Wait...haha he ran over a poodle!
You call that fast
Dang it's over!

that was KM/H

lol, no way a cop car was just going between 120mph-180mph like nothing....

don't know the conversion, but I know 85mph is 140KM/H so it was probably around 100mph... fast, but not THAT fast....

If you watch the video he tops 200+ kph. That's over 125mph. I have no limiter ala Stealth V tune. 170+! Been up to 165mph but don't have the life insurance for more. :lildevil:

Judging by the footage and cars, I'd say this chase was in either Germany or Sweden. The cops might've been using M-B E-Class patrol cars. The "Lotus" Omega was quite a car. A Vauxhall/Opel seden tuned by Lotus. About 380 hp, I think.

So how does the video end? Mine jammed up after a minute or two.

The Lotus Carlton (Omega on the continent) had a 176mph top speed, does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and at the time (1990) was the fastest 4 door saloon you could buy.

It was based on the 3.0 Carlton but stroked to 3.6 litre and is a 24v twin turbocharged and intercoooled 377 BHP.

They cost £48,000 at the time (1990, and to give you an idea in 2000 a Cadillac STS cost £40,000) and they made about 950 of them in total (284 were RHD for the UK) instead of the planned 1100 as the recession hit and no-one was gonna cough up that sort of money for a Vauxhall.

All cars were a very dark green (imperial green) which looks almost black.

Cool! Too bad it is the Omega series before the Catera version came out.

That's damn good for a '70 Eldorado! :cool2:
Ehm... let's keep it to the '03 CTS. I won't even be able to tell how fast the 70 Eldorado would be going exactly, since the odometer goes 'til 120, but the hand goes well beyond that.

I been going faster than 120 with the 70 Eldo, but it was not a pleasant ride. The nose comes up as it catches wind, making the ride unstable.
