Hello, I have a 2016 SRX and the warranty is about to be up. So far the only issue I had is I had to replace the rotors. Im thinking if I should get an extended warranty and where and how. My dealer quoted me $5,200 and there is no way I will be paying for that. Tell me what you think and where to go if necessary.

Brake rotors and pads are normal wear items - like tires, belts, wiper blades, etc. - and are not usually covered by warranties unless you can prove factory defects or have one hell of a generous dealer (not common).

Extended warranties put your money into someone else's pocket - if you're worried, insure yourself by paying monthly into a small money market account.

That quote seems high to me. I received a coupon from Cadillac recently. Coupon says $314.95 GM Original Equipment Front Brake Rotors installed for cars and small SUVs. If it wasn't for the coupon being expired I would have gladly sent it to you! But I don't know if it would be honored at any Cadillac Dealer?

I tried to upload a picture of the coupon but couldnt.

Make sure you Check out whom your dealing with.......
