Express Up Passenger Window: DEAD.

With the key in run position, close the window. Then hold the express up until you hear the motor click. The actuator has re-learned the close position and the express feature will work again. This also works for express down. The procedure is the same except that the window should be opened completely.

This happens when the door module loses power for any reason.

I had the same thing happen to me. In this case it was because I tried to lower the window immediatley on starting the car. If you try to lower the window as your turning the key (me being impatient) the switch will often not let you use the express down feature,and in some cases it will defeat that feature. Doing the above should as it has for me a couple of times, secure your fix.

happens every so often as described by b hoth. if all else fails disconnect the - bat terminal for a min or so. but thats like last resort

Now that explains why mine stopped working for a brief minute. I blew a fuse when I did my radar hardwire install and since the CTS does NOT come with spare fuses (rant), I took a fuse from the right door module, then decided against it. Anyway, I do remember that my express feature did not work...I started toying around with the car on and holding down the power button and I guess I must have held it down long enough to reset it...BTW I went to AutoZone and got me a set of extra fuses...got tired of my "ever so essential" reverse lights not working....:histeric:

Fortunately, my express up window started working out of no where, and if it happens again, I will use this thread as reference.
