I spoke to Corsa, they are about 6 weeks away. Not sure when Cadillac will get them in their channel. In any case, they are expecting something more than they get with their Z06 exhaust, as the CTS-V is meant to be more restrictive... my guess: 10-12hp.

I would expect Borla and the other guys to be all over this as well sometime this summer.

Guys,

GHL will be releasing a CTS-V system very shortly and for those of you that are familiar with their other vehicle systems, you know how awesome they make GM's LS1 and LS6 engines sound! They are one of the best exhaust systems that we carry for the C5s.

Hold off on purchasing any exhaust systems for your CTS-V until you hear the GHLs on our CTS-V.

Who'll be the first manuf'r to release a set of pipes (just exh, not headers) for the CTS-V? Any ideas?

I will want exhaust on my V (to be delivered sometime this week), but I DO NOT WANT A HIGHWAY DRONE..... (not shouting). However, I do want that horsepower. On another forum someone commented that the exhaust was very restrictive and had some dyno experience to back up the claim.

My impala had Flowmasters and everytime I drove at highway speeds, I got a nasty headache... I want my V to be more refined than that..

So, is the corsa exhaust going to have a drone? Has anyone heard this exhaust system yet? Will the GHL exhaust?

Guys,

I just spoke with the guys over at GHL and they said I should have a CTS-V exhaust system within the next couple of weeks.

Who wants in on a GP?

I can tell you that the GHLs will make the LS6 sound AWESOME!

We recommend them for most Vettes for the ultimate 60s muscle car V8 sound with NO RESONANCE!!

GHL is working on the CTS-V system as we speak and they should be done very shortly.

I will post pics when we get it.

Thanks!

Jim Browning Jr. here from Corsa Performance!

As most of you already know, we are working a on complete stainless cat back system for the CTS-V!:coolgleam

We are in the final stages of muffler tuning, and hopefully should have this finished in the next few weeks.

The sound of the car with what we have so far is AWESOME! The car has a deep throaty sound at idle, aggressive under throttle, yet quiet with NO INTERIOR DRONE at HWY speeds. This will let you enjoy the sound when out for a spirited drive, yet nice and quiet when cruising down the hwy.

If anyone as any questions on the progress of the CTS-V, or any of our other systems, please let me know, I would be happy to give you an update.

Also, I would like to say thanks to CTSVLS6 for the use of his car. He will be the first guy "On the Block" with our new system! It will be well worth the swap!:)

How about a set of test pipes and or headers/exhuast manifold? I can do without the pesky furballs for a while....any thoughts on that?

Also will you have -

1. Before and after Dyno charts? so we know what HP/TQ gain will be along with the wonderful sound?

2. Before and after sound clips? I ask this bc I had a system custom built for another one of my cars, and of course didn't know if I would like it (the place that built it would have found someone else to sell it to if not me), so not much risk on my part to give it a go. I'd really prefer to hear the difference before I commit, but that's just me. And it's not that I don't trust Corsa, but sound is such a SUBJECTIVE issue it's hard to just buy based on recommendation.

P.S. Thanks to you and Corsa for getting behind this (and to CTSVLS6 for being the first vicitm :D )

We have built a few systems for the CTS-V race cars...that are racing next weekend at Sebring...

The car would be very loud, as soon as you turn the corner, the cops would be all over you.:bonkers:

Sorry, You'll just have to be patient for us to finish the street system.

Hey Jim.
I just wanted to say that I had Corsa exhaust put on my 00 WS-6 that has since been sold, but those tips were the best looking chrome dual duals i ever saw and the sound was fantastic.
Those who want a great sound without highway drone will be very happy with a corsa sysem if its any way similar to what they did for my T/A.

that being said, is the system you are developping twin outlet or dual dual?

Thanks,
Jeff

The outlet for the CTS-V will have a single 4" Pro-Series tips on each side. They fit very nice into the factory opening.

The sound from the V will be everything and more compared to your WS-6 car!

Jim,

Just visited your web site and I see you have an exhaust for the 3.6l. Is there any performance boost with that?

Jim Browning Sr, owner of Corsa Performance will be at the race on Friday. If anyone would like to try and meet up with him, just let me know.

I had plans, just to busy to go and need to stay here and hold down the fort!:banghead:

On the 3.6 CTS system, we saw about 5 HP gain to the rear tires, but the car sounds very nice at WOT!!! :coolgleam

Sure would be cool to see the CTS come away with a podium finish!!!:worship:

Time for me to ask a few Q's -

1. Any ideas WHEN the CTS-V system will be released (available)? 2 Weeks? 2 Months? (any ideas - we all are waiting with baited breath)
2. Which C5/Z06 system will the CTS-V system most resemble.... Titanium Competition and Street? Touring Edition? Pace Car?
3. Lastly (just a ballpark please) any ideas on price? Will they be available OUTSIDE of our local Cadillac Dealer? Can we do a group buy?

THANKS!
