Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have major DTS system issues.
Bought a 2008 DTS about 8 months ago w 118K miles. So far have spent quit a bit on old car issues, but now I have a serious one. After about 10-15 minutes of driving all the dash gauges quit, the AC compressor shuts off (but not the fan), the active suspension stops working, stabilitrack stops, ABS stops, traction control stops, transmission shifts but oddly, and the radiator fans quit. I've had the battery and alternator replaced, checked all the battery connections and grounds (scratched off paint to get a better ground). Took it to a dealer and they didn't want to touch it even though they said they had another 2008 DTS with the same issue in their shop.
I'm thinking that it may be the Body Control Module (BCM) since it controls so many systems.
For 7 months there were non of these current issues. I live it Texas (104 temp) so I thought the heat might be a factor, but the issue is now happening every time I try to drive the car no matter the temp.
I bought the car from a transmission shop that told me they had just put in a used transmission. I don't know what transmission was put in the car and I'm wondering if the trans and the TCM don't match, but why would there be no issues for 7 months then.
I'm at my wits end (and wife reached hers weeks ago). I know how to work on cars, but I don't have all the computer diagnostic equip to find the cause of my problems. And I'm beginning to thing that dealers are afraid of this type of issue.
Any ideas/help would be much appreciated.
