I did a few years back. The car went from southwest Pensylvania to New Hampshire. Transportation was just over $800 on an open car shipper. The car was used, so I didn't have the luxury of the manufacturer's waranty at my local dealer but I did it anyway. If you're talking about a near-new car with a real manufacturer's waranty, you should have no trouble at all.

I shipped an SUV from Grand Rapids MI to Jacksonville FL in 2004 for under $500 -
I also shipped a car from Va. to San Fran (years ago - 1994) for around $800

Both instances no issues.

I had my V shipped from St Louis to here in Phoenix. Closed carrier, with no second level (make sure of that because you dont want crap dripping onto your car from above), took about 8 days and cost 1100.

I do have to say nothing is cooler than when it comes... It was 8:30 Saturday morning and my son had a friend over... we go out front, and the trailer opens up, PRESTO - New V!

Here's the important part... what guarantee do you have that they won't drive the car at all? You always have to leave them with the keys. I wouldn't feel safe unless I watched them pull it into the trailer and took the keys then met them at the destination to give them the keys for unloading.
Maybe its paranoia or just being anal, but I don't like the idea of someone having my car for a week and not having to explain how any mileage got on it. :tisk:

I had my V shipped from Chesrown in Newark, OH to here in the Bay Area, CA via Intercity (enclosed carrier) for $1500. It went on the truck Thursday in Ohio, and came off the truck on Tuesday morning at 8AM at my doorstep. It arrived cleaner than the last new car I bought locally! Mostly due to the fact that David had it detailed right before it shipped.

Since I shipped in the middle of July with no advanced notice, the lead time was a little longer for Intercity... 18 days I think to get it on the truck. The important thing was that it was well cared for in transit, and I had the cell phone# of the driver.
