Whats it like in other areas" Florida is almost all ethanol
Most of the East Coast, along with a bankrupt Western State, is running E10. Just about any engine built since the changeover from tetraethyl lead to MTBE to E10 will be happy. (They have hardened valve seats to compensate for the loss of the lead cushioning in gasoline). Problem now presenting itself is that E15 is being pushed through Congress by the Corn Lobby because the Corn Belt profit is going down the tubes with the decrease in driving times/habits brought on by the recession/high gas prices. The largest percentage increase in history in the corn crop pricing and output was carefully planned by Congress in cahoots with the EPA. Make no mistake: gas prices are still artificially high, due in part to the British rogue oil futures trader clown who spiked oil to $70/bbl a couple of weeks ago.
Car-wise, anything within 10 years or so is built for E10. You'll never notice the difference. Acually, IF your fuel system is/was dirty (?) to begin with, E10 will scrub it squeaky clean.
