can any one give me a $$ ballpark estimate for replacing the ignition coils on a 97 catera(labor only)?. does any one know how many hours it books for?

I would say about an 1.5 hrs. pull off the wiper blades, the top windshield panel, 4 torex head bolts E8, the 6 ign. wires and the supply feed wire which is a plug in. Kind of tight but you can do it, you need 1/4 drive extension and a E8 torex (female). I don't know what GM flat rate is, but it's always less then the independent publications.??

Ps. if your not taking it to cadillac dealership take it to a shop that knows what they are doing... this shop i took it to i asked them do you know how to change the ignition coils and do you work on cadillac ... they said yes ... i took the car over they pulled out the motor and etc just so they can change the coils.... the car was with them for almost a month
