An insider to the Industry and supplier to me is telling me about the Escalade Platinum Edition.

Has there been some talk about this on the site? He saying that the one of the first "Platinum’s" will be given away on Super Bowl Sunday and Shaq has one ordered.

Any other scoop?

There was a nice write up in Vision magizine about the Platinum model, it only comes in the ESV (Suburban size) model (or I would have one on order) It has nice 20" wheels, heated and cooled cup holders, Aluminum doorsill plates, (2) 7" tv screens, Chrome plated grill, Lowered just to name a few things.

66, thank you. I had 2 Overlands and I sold the red one and replaced it with the Escalade (needed the tax advantage ;) ) The Overland is the top of the line Grand Cherokee, and they are a very nice SUV's. I always had Grand Cherokee's for my company, believe it or not we over 30 of these from the mid 80's through today. If the late 80's I need something bigger to pull my snowmobile trailer to our home in upstate NY so I got my first of 6 Suburbans, I had an 89', 91', 93', 94', 96', 98', then I broke my back, twice (because once was not enough) racing for Ski-Doo, so I had to stop snowmobiling at least for a while, and the Suburbans we just too big, so I started driving the newest Grand Cherokee at my company and like the smaller size for parking and handling, as I said I got rid of the Overland for the tax advantages that the Escalade gives my business, if it was not for that I would be driving another Overland, but after owning this Escalade it would be tough to go back.
