I’ve been working on giving my 2013 Escalade a more modern look. I added the black mesh grill and removed the original oem liftgate appliqué and spoiler to try to mimic the 15-20 models with the smaller third brake light. Did some experimenting with a oem appliqué / liftgate spoiler off a 2012 Denali then 3d printed a base for the updated emblem to cover the hole from the original appliqué. Also scored a set of the new style 22’s on FB market place for 500 bucks along with the power running boards for 200 bucks!

Has anyone done any performance upgrades to their Escalades? Exhaust? Does anyone have the heated and cooled cup holders, if so how well do they work?

Grille looks familiar!

I like the tailgate mod with the chrome delete..

How do you like the cooled and heated buttons on the uuuge screen interface? Is it a pain because they're not on the top menu?

Thanks! I couldn’t stand that huge chrome appliqué on the back of the truck. That’s a great picture! Love the black grill on the white looks BA! The head unit has like 20-ish user made interfaces some have the heated cooled seats on the main display and some are more minimal. I just got it a few months ago so I’ve been slowly cycling threw them, there’s a FB group for these head units where users submit different templates for free.

On the performance side of things, the LS motor is ready and willing.. usual tricks, heads, cam, headers, exhaust, you name it.. it's all out there being a cousin of the Vette LS.

Pete has the heated/cooled cooled cupholders. He'll chime in at some point.

I just installed it a few months ago, and absolutely love it. I bought it on Aliexpress. I’m about 99% sure that all the android head units on aliexpress/eBay/Amazon are all made from the same factory, so brand wouldn’t be my biggest concern as much as how long the retailer has been in business just for possibility of future warranty issues. I can’t remember which retailer I bought it from but I could link it later today. If your serious about getting one, you should join this private FB Group for these head units. It’s been incredibly helpful for getting tech support from other group members and the guy who started the group sells a upgraded firmware that’s absolutely essential to getting the most out the unit.

On the radio does the backup camera still work with the tesla screen?
I am really considering doing the conversion.

Im using the oem backup camera. If you do I highly recommend that you join the Tesla style head unit Facebook group. That’s you main source of tech support if any issues arise during the install / setup. I’d also highly recommend buying the upgraded firmware that the founder of the Facebook group makes and updates regularly. The factory firmware just isn’t “polished” enough, and his firmware just brings it to that level. I absolutely love mine and I’d buy another if it ever died. Worth the $ imo

I know that Sergey’s firmware updates are for the PX6 Android 9 OS, and I don’t think he has support Android 10 yet. I was considering the octa-core A10 unit too until I found out that his firmware update doesn’t support A10. I’d recommend joining that group and asking the group to double check before you buy. I feel like my PX6 A9 is pretty smooth, I’m sure the 8-core is nice but that firmware update is what really put the unit over the top. I also bought mine on aliexpress I didn’t check the shipping method from that seller but I bought fry a retailer who used DHL and it’s was like Amazon fast shipping. China was on a lockdown at the time I made my order. The lockdown ended on a Sunday and I checked the tracking info Monday afternoon and it was already in Ohio in less than a day. I’ll answer any questions you have but that FB group is a treasure trove of info for these units, and you get extremely quick response’s from the group.

I wouldn’t take a Tesla style head unit out of my truck if it was installed. I’d simply have to get an insurance policy that wouldn’t leave me out in the cold if it was stolen. There was a time you could specifically insure your vehicle for Non factory installed ICE with AAA. They quietly pulled that option here in SoCal. Anything aftermarket claimed as a loss they’ll tell you how sorry they are it’s not covered.

So, we’ve stayed with the OEM 12-‘14 SD card Navi set up with an ‘11 OnStar VCIM & concealed A2DP BT unit out of necessity. BTW the identical SD card unit in the 18 & ‘19 ATS, CTS & STS SD card Navi update came out.

I’ll have to call ISS automotive and ask them to attempt a download of that SD card into an 12-‘14 Escalade SuperNav or if they’ve already tried.

I am astonished at the level of technology the Tesla style upgrades offer. The fact it’s made just for 07-14 Escalades is even more astonishing. It’s like the aftermarket CD deck revolution offered in the ‘90’s, but on steroids.

Pretty damn cool engineering for an out of production vehicle and produced in a country not really designated for it. Lotta

put into that unit.

For sure, it’s pretty crafty. Honestly though if it was made anywhere else the beauty of the “open source” wouldn’t be so open or affordable. It’d be “mostly closed source” with a coupon to refinance your house to afford it😂

How did you do the spoiler? I really don’t like the the full LED look, especially since the full bar isn’t illuminated! I’ve been looking for the spoiler light but can’t seem to find one.

Yes, I have a 2012 and put nearly all effort into performance. Engine had some issues around 175k miles, so I fixed those, put in a stage 3 camshaft, cold air intake, upgraded battery, exhaust, and tune. The truck is FAST! I've held off on headers for the moment as i'm concerned about the noise to be honest, but that isn't too far off. I've also put on drilled/slotted rotors, upgraded brakes, the same wheels as you it would appear, and finally a long roof rack as we use this for travel between states regularly.

Man let me start by saying your truck looks awesome!! but I have a few questions.. where did you get the grill from? because i found some but the chrome piece on the hood doesn't come with it. next how did you change the launcher for your radio? because i have the same one. last question are those after market running boards or factory? how did you hook them up?
