Might be a good bet for '04 - '06 3.6 engines, but if your car has the 3.2, as does CadiKing2006's, it's out as the 3.2 cams are belt-driven...

Mine has a terrible whine only when the engine is cold (cold as in below zero)... It's a terribly loud whine.

Then when I drive, it goes away after about 20 seconds.

Weird...

I guess I'll have to head to the dealer..

Well few times i went in the dealership for the whine, i was told it was normal. I guess it wasn't normal after all. I've stopped going to the dealership other then for an oil change.
Right now my car whines, howls(rear end), exhaust heatshield rattles(fixed 4 or 5 times), wobbles on the road(my alignment is off), transmission/rear end jerks sometimes in low speeds and random loud clunks coming from tranny/rear.
I think i'm used to all those issues now. When i hear noises, i just turn the music up louder :p
