O.K., I want to drop a sbc in place of HT4100 in my 85 Deville. I understand that the 4100 uses the B-O-P bellhousing bolt pattern. I know that that Summet makes a plate to mount a small block chevy to a B-O-P trans. I know I would have to fab engine mounts, exhaust system, ect. I plan to use a carbed engine so I wont have to worry about the F.I. system ect. Has anyone seen this done? or has anyone done this? It does have the transverse engine layout. I really like this car, But I really need more top-end.
I have planed on getting a front sub frame from the auto recycling yard for mocking it all up.
Any thoughts or advise ??
