recently i noticed that my CTS 3.6 has slight ticking noises when its warm. i took it to the dealer but they said there is nothing wrong with it. is this true? plus ive my engine is getting louder. how quiet is your CTS??

It seems that all newer engines have some sort of ticking noise. Probably due to the tight clearences when assembling the engine itself. Does it sound the same when cold? What kind of oil are you using?

i have the same thing "i think."

i described it as a slight puffing sound towards the middle of the firewall. i can hear it when i put my head close to the bottom edge of the winshield and inside the cab when i don't have my radio on...

i've asked the dealer, of course they said nothing wrong...i just kinda live with it
