Hey guys,

Because my overpressurization release valve is open there is a vacuum leak. Instead of ordering a new intake manifold I'm going to try and repair/put back the valve. Because you have to take it all apart I thought I would be a good idea to replace all the gaskets. Especially because the previous owner used liquid gasket on the intake manifold.

So I made a list of things I'm going to order. The oil filter mounting kit is because it's leaking from a line attached to it.

- Oil Filter Remote Mounting Kit
HAYDEN Part # 291 Universal Remote (except Chevy V8) Filter Mount Kit

- EGR Gasket
ACDELCO Part # 219175 {#03522442, 3522442} GM Original Equipment

- Fuel Injector O-Ring
ACDELCO Part # 2172420 {#12499840} Kit Includes 24 O-Rings GM Original Equipment

- Throttle Body Gasket
VICTOR REINZ Part # G31647 Throttle Body Gasket Material: Paper

- Intake Manifold Gasket
VICTOR REINZ Part # MS16370 Material: Victo-Tech. Intake Manifold Gasket Material: Victo-Tech

- Fuel Filter
ACDELCO Part # GF650 {#25163684} Professional

I e-mailed this list to the mechanic who is going to do the work. I asked if he needed anything else and he replied with:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Victor-MS16369-Engine-Intake-Manifold-Gasket-GM-4-6L-DOHC-V8-Northstar-/380823474172

However I already have http://www.rockauto.com/info/remotecache/8d297c942244f02c37a4607f7eaf539d__ra_p.jpg in my cart at rockauto.com.

The link the mechanic sent me, is this even on my manifold?

Thanks!

Otto

The manifold over pressurization relief valve is serviceable. If you can't clean the seal and seat and reuse it, replace it (if you can find one, GM says "No Longer Available").

Yeah, couldn't find the valve. So if I need to replace it I need to replace the entire manifold :(.

But could you take a look at the links I gave in the first post? Which gaskets do I need?

Thanks Ranger
