Hey everyone my name is Larry and I just joined :) Whats the average Coolant temp for a 95 SLS? Ive watched the coolant temp on the computer in the car and it averages between 206 and 226 at the highest. Is that normal? thanks.

My 96 STS reads just about exactly the same.

What does your coolant look like. I bought the car a week ago with 132000 miles and have driven about 1000 miles. It seems to run great.

The coolant inside the resevoir appears to be white and gooey. I expected to see either red or green antifreeze in there. Does anyone else have white gooey coolant, or should I be getting this flushed.

I would definately flush it to be on the safe side just from the mileage alone. I'm pretty sure your car should use Dexcool, but check your owner's manual for the type of antifreeze to use and don't forget the coolant pellets. Have it checked to be safe also. Repairs can be expensive.
