My 99 Deville is throwing the P0741 code. I cleared the code and took it to be tested and I was rejected because the OBD was not ready. How far do I have to drive it or let it idle before the OBD is ready? They told me to drive it for a couple of weeks or take it to a service repair facility to have it checked out. Any soggestions?

I did the light throttle and brake test and I can feel the converter working. What kind of adjustments to the brake pedal are you talking about? Do you think they will fail me if I leave the P0741 code in the OBD?

They failed me with the P0741 code. Said it was emissions related. I reset the OBD and drove it around 200 miles in 3rd gear to avoid the P0741 code and took it back and passed!
