Call the people who did the installation and find out what they did to your car!
Do you get any theft deterrent system messages?
First thing I would do is, unhook the amp and check for shorts and blown fuses.
What EXACTLY did you do when you were hooking it up??? You are shorting out somewhere.....Lets see your connections (pics).....Cant help you until you divulge ALOT more info about what you did....
cadillac04CTS--sorry you're having a problem; :welcome5: to the forum.
It's a stretch, but check your MAF (mass air flow) sensor. If that's disconnected, the computer will shut down the engine in a second.

It could have gotten loosened for whatever reason.

Well, ya. :D
Yes, what Smokin said. When I brought the wrecked cts home it would do exactly that-start every time for a second or two and quit. If either the MAF is unplugged OR the plumbing from the intake to the airbox is open/undone it will be those same symptoms. Good luck.
Check the rubber hose that connects the filter box / mass air sensor to the intake manifold. I just had a problem about 30 minutes ago that sounds similar -- turned out the hose clamp was loose and the tube came off. Since the sensor had no vacuum, the engine would shut down.
