I don't think my friend will do due to price but wondered about what her mechanic told her on options to replace blown shocks. The truck is lifted 6" and they offered passive or active air shocks and said the active would allow her or the computer to control the dampening of the shocks as before modification. Even if she went active wouldn't the height sensor need to be altered in some way to compensate for the lift. I think what is going on, not sure brand is passive air assist shocks front and rear with a manual fill. Then eventually a compressor and control in the vehicle to allow for manual or auto fill from the cabin. Does the latter sound like a viable option, as it is lifted for accessibility and its 1000 or so pounds of gear etc...

I just found out is going the passive air assist route, however they put 80psi in the rear shocks this sounds quite high to me.
