No i dont...I was hoping someone may have seen this before... .. How much does a capable scanner run these days?

For a beginner, $100 (or less) can get you a very capable phone-enabled scanner that can pull all codes, run tests, and pull live data. I have used the BlueDriver (https://www.amazon.com/BlueDriver-Bluetooth-Professional-iPhone-Android/dp/B00652G4TS/) for years. There are similar scanners that are cheaper. In the end, you want a scanner that can pull brake codes in addition to engine ones - and the BlueDriver does.
