I recently bought a beautiful 97 STS with only 60,000 miles. I've been driving it for about six months and recently noticed that when I have passengers in the back seat and going over bumps and potholes, it feels like the car is bottoming out. I've also noticed that it looks like the back of the car is sagging and I don't hear the ELC system leveling the car when I first start it up. When passengers hop in the back seat, I watch the rear wheel well drop at least an inch without coming back up. My mechanic (a good experienced Caddy man) couldn't find anything wrong and said no computer codes were showing anything wrong.

After reading many other Q & A's on the board, I looked for to see if the fuse in the trunk was bad, only to find it missing. Could this really be the car's problem?

Its possible... Try replaceing the fuse.... It should say in the manual or on the cover what kind you need....

Its weird that it wouldnt throw a code, but maybe it wont if the fuse is out.. Weird......
