My leveler compressor turns on even when car is off. Is that normal? its loud too. I know the compressor works cause I pulled of one of the small hoses while it was running and there was air pressure. Can I just disable it? Do the compressors get loud if they are wearing out? Sorry for all the questions but calling the dealer is counter-productive sometimes:banghead:

If it's running while the car's off, you have a leak. The compressor will get louder as it wear out. And yes you can disable it but you don't need to. What year and model car do you have?

Katshot thx for reply. Also is the leveling just for the rear shocks? Are passive shocks something I should look at or just fix the leak? Are there trouble spots with the lines? Is there an easy way to determine where the leak is? My 10 year old says it sounds like the car is "farting"
