electrical problem Northstar

The electrical problems were caused by a day and a half of very heavy rains here in the Bahamas. The blower would come on for no reason, and the dash board lights would stay on even with the key in your hand and the engine off.

I suspected it might be the heavy 2 days of rain.

I drove the car about 10 miles a few days ago (up to tempeture), and with two straight days of (hot) sunshine, the electrical problems disappeared - and everything is back to normal.

This was all a great relief because the car was practically unusable because I had to disconnect the battery to keep it from going "dead" overnight (or wherever you parked it).

I have a 1993 Eldorado with 95,000 miles. She starts and runs great still - even though she is 14 years old. Purchased it practically new in 1995.

I never owned a car that started and ran (and rides) almost like new that had 95,000 miles and is this "old", but I'm still not a Cadillac fan - although they build a great suspension and their parts are top of the line for durability - especially the water pump (original) and exhausst system (also original).

Engine Oil leak is a nascence in the 4.6 L Northstar, and I've tried to sell it, but can't get a buyer.

Watching "Two Guys Garage" on TV, they recommended a "bearing seal" stop leak for rear seal oil leaks, so I tried it. I had tried everything else.

One can practically stopped all the oil leaking in my driveway, but she's still a little "wet" under the "engine". Not so much dripping right now - though.

This rear sealer was a thin liquid, not some heavy thick additive (they don't work).
