Alright, my 85' Eldorado has begun, in the last few weeks, doing odd things when I start it. Once it's been run, it's okay. Almost seems as if it's the colder weather!? Anyway, when I start it, the Headlights dim and brighten for a bit, and the console lights (speedo, climate control, etc.) also will be very dim, but after 5 min. or so, everything is back to normal. Also, whenever this happens, the "NO CHARGE" dummy light comes on, then goes off when everything goes back to normal. Within the first 10 minutes I start the car, driving or not, the Service Engine Soon light comes on and off randomly for a short while. Anyone have any idea what may be causing this? I installed a new Alternator and battery about 3 months ago, so it shouldn't be that!:hmm:

Is the voltage regulator integral to the alternator on your year of vehicle? I have had an older car where the regulator was separate from the alternator. I had to replace that darn thing a few times.
