Hi there,

what exactly do I need to program the ecm in my 2007 STS?
The ecm was replaced and the car wont start now.
I hope anyone here is familiar with programming and could give me exact information.
I have found this site where they say that Tech2 programming is only compatible until 2007 cars.

So you could use the tech 2 for diagnostics, but nor for programming if your car is from 2007.
My car is from 2007, so I am not sure if it will be compatible.
Maybe I should go for the MDI?
MDI seems to be more capable, only thing I miss so far are the many different connector plugs that would come with the tech2.
I don't know yet wich connector I need.

Or is the MDI not compatible?

Where can I get the correct updates, software, or flash roms for the tech2?

There are nearly no Cadillac Dealers here Germany, so I really can't just go to a Dealer, because the Dealers here don't have any clue how to fix this cadillac ecm.

Thanks for your answers!

This is WHT the connector looked like it had 6 tan wires running into it which I believed to be low reference wires and they came out the oth we r side from 6 wires into 3 they hooked up to the camshaft position sensor on both sides an the pil pressure sensor on the oth we side with 3 wires an mine was damaged an I stupidly cut it open without taking a picture first so now when I try putting g them back together I'm getting f camshaft codes high circuit low circuit engine temp codes. This condition was located like right underneath the Throttlw position sensor. So I. Trying to find a diagram of how all these wires went together cause whe. I opened the casing there were separate but they still were all touching j. Some way so I didn't think it was a issue just connecting them all back together. Dumb mistake on my part
