I couldnt start the Eldo this morning and seemed like the battery was weak but enough to crank over. But i have not driven it at all in a couple months but was starting it and running it regularly. Checked the DTC and got a E52. I am assuming this occurs when you disconnect battery. But i never have and connections look solid and tight with no corrosion. Where to look next? Or is this just a battery too weak to start the car? Battery is new 1.5 years ago but last time i ran the car i accidently ran it out of gas (fuel sender needs replacement) and i did a lot of cranking before i figured that out and car has not run enough to maybe recharge. Mostly wondering about the code indication. THX

Battery very weak - sets a low voltage and module reset code(s) during the high amperage draw starting sequence.

Short trips or even worse - engine idle to "warm" - are death to an engine and battery. The car needs to be DRIVEN frequently or shut down, left alone, not started, with a Battery Minder connected.

(Please, always post the code definitions - we haven't memorized all thousand or so - yet )(Thread title ...............)

If you will leave your - your - car(s) idle for more than a month or so, it's an easy job to "fog" the cylinders through the (downdraft ???) throttlebody. Marine stores/websites carry several brands of fogging oil spray.

The procedure WILL NOT work on side draft throttlebodies and tuned runner intake manifolds. An old trick with those - to move a bit of oil up into the cylinders/combustion chambers - is, with the engine warm after a drive and into the garage/layup - to rev it in N to 3,000 rpm for 10 seconds, then flip your foot off the gas and turn the key OFF at the same time. As the engine winds down to stop the maximum intake vacuum moves some oil up past the rings to coat the cylinders and combustion chambers.

Since my battery was so weak...Its like a disconnect so now after charging it all back up and car running, I have a high idle and revs high on startup.... Wondering if i have to do an idle relearn procedure or will ECM relearn on its own if i drive the car a bit more?
