I have an 86 deville that is throwing a code e52. The car runs terrible rich to the point that I have to keep it reved up just in order to keep it runing so it doesnt carbon the plugs up, I know the code says pcm reset but what does that exactly mean, I have replaced the ecm with another, replaced fuel pump, checked fuel pressure and checked ok, fuel filter, replaced my distributor wires and plugs basic tune up stuff havent touched the o2 sensor is the only thing I havent touched that would be related to a tune up. Any Ideas?

Sounds like you might have few problems. 86 ECM is not all that smart either.

52 means that the ECM gets reset by the means of power or ground being disconnected. You could have an intermittant wiring or ground problem. Or maybe even a weak battery or bad alternator. How quickly does the code come back after you reset it?

Rough running might be related to many things. Maybe a bad sensor or again, bad ground to some sensor (that should throw a code but as I say, the ECM is not too smart). Also, maybe you have a leaky injector dumping too much gas in.

Since you've replaced the ECM itself, that is not the problem.
