i was just having a heated convo with dad over gas prices and how it seems they have goen up because of the stuff going on in what ever 3rd world country that is thats having all this stuff going on id ont really pay mouch atention untill i need to

we only get like 6% percent of the USA Oil from them so why the heck should our gas prices be up so dang mouch

right now the rental is on E and im only adding gas when i have to go out
id rather return it on E
then fill it up

i got a good rate they gave me 2.75 a gallon if i return it with less gas than i had in it when taking posesion and only charge me up to the point where gas is when i left

yeah i know im the last one who should be running a tank dry after what just happend to me but you know its a rental and
we all know rentals get run threw the ringger at some point weather its being run dry or being raced around and turn up

i know im not doing anyting not leagle just by running it till the gas light comes on and even 30 or 40 miles after that i dont care if i run out of gas i just call them up and say hey i ran out of gas you need to bring me more and they will

but anyways back on topic to hear that nascar is running E15 WTF

As many of you know, I hate vegetables. The flavor, the texture, the sound they make when you eat them, etc, but I've always liked eating corn. However, corn has no place in our fuel. The government needs to stop subsidizing corn and start subsidizing oil drilling in the US. Watch gas prices go down and consumer confidence and happiness go up.

We were the center of a big fight with the EPA some years ago about the use of MBTE to improve local air quality. In cold weather there were levels of MBTE in the air close to busy intersections that approached being toxic. We won the big lawsuit so nobody from the EPA has had the nerve to suggest the use of oxygenating additives around here since. One local distributor on his own tried selling fuel with 10% alcohol but after the first cold snap and a huge seige of cars stalled alongside the road he thought better of it. No alcohol in local fuels and none in the forseeable future. The same cannot be said about local drivers.

I believe the posted article said that Germany has rejected ANY addition of Ethanol to gasoline.

Obviously, Germany does not have an organized Big Corn lobby to pull the blinders over politicians and the EPA's eyes.

"NASCAR uses E15". Two drops of E15 in a race car's fuel allotment for a 500 qualifies that statement.

E15 sucks 50% more than E10.

Not only is it bad for our cars and the environment, it drives up food prices and taxes. It's the perfect wacko leftist cause! (Because it gives them more power while weakening everyone else.)

NASCAR will do absolutely anything for money. I didn't mind that they single-handedly kept tobacco advertising on TV. But ever since Brian France has taken control, he has systematically ruined one of my favorite things. He is just as ignorant and arrogant as all the rest.
