Ya, I see the small recesses you are speaking of on the top side of the port now that you point it out. I guess it all depends on the angle of the chrome ports in relation to the bumper slant. I am certain some sort of trim could be fashioned to keep it from looking like "a hack job".......where there's a will there's a way. The chrome ports are 350 bucks on eBay and I believe they are OEM

instead of going to all the hassle of retrofitting the rear bumper to get the dual ports, has anyone tried to use these and just cut/fit/adapt them into our regular bumpers? Seems like it might work easier. Just a thought
