So I have a 07 dts it ended up overheating on me so the next morning I went to crank it up put more fluid into it it stopped overheating but the engine had white smoke coming from the top driver side and my exhaust wasn't smoking at all not sure whats wrong with it

Find and repair the coolant leak - it's steam, not "smoke".

The Northstar was designed and tested to run for over 50 miles with NO coolant. Camel Mode. An overheat (with careful slowdown/shutdown) will not affect the engine at all.
