About 1 year ago I switched out the wheel wells on my 93 Fleetwood Brougham . Ever since then, my Check Enging light has been on and throws the DTC 26 which according to my manual has to do with the A.I.R system. The only time the check engine light will go off is when the car is at high speeds (55mph or more), and this is what is throwing me off. I have taken off the air lines that go into the exhaust manifold and later today I will turn on the car and see if any air is pumped out. Any insight into what may be the problem or solution is greatly appreciated.

Took off my A.I.R. pump yesterday and the thing just about fell apart in my hands. Apparently when I was putting in my chrome wheel wells last year, I somehow blew the fuse to the pump. The pump hasn't been working for over a year and just kind of turned to one big piece of carbon.
I went ahead and ordered a new one from Napa for $200 and hopefully this will take care of my engine light. Once I get the car inspected in December the pump is coming off. The engine looks a hell of a lot nicer w/o the pump and all the hoses.
