I work as a valet driver right now, and I drove my first sls today :bouncy:

It was like a 98ish with 124,000 on the clock. I loved the ride it was so smooth, but the leather seats were not as soft as I expected(though that could be because it was old and not that well taken care of). I liked the gauges and steering except that it did have a little too much body roll for my taste(only slightly and again could be due to worn suspension parts) overall quite a nice car, but if I am honest I drove a couple mercury grand marquis that were really loaded that I feel drove a little better and were a little more comfortable...but they didn't have the presence of the caddy :)

I also drove like a late 80's or early 90's buick lesabre(yeah ur thinking so what those are nothing special) but I tell you what it was tremendous! It had something called dynaride and rode exactly like my grandpa's 91 sedan deville. It was really ugly and dated looking but still nice to drive. haha

it might have had to much body role because it had the Deleted F45 when i say that i mean it came stock with the passive and not the CVRSS strust wich was an option on the sls but not the sts
so that might have been where the feel was or perhaps the owner replaced them with a passive system

I had a 96 SLS for 3 years, yeah it had a bit of body roll. Really soft ride on the highway too. Now I drive an 03 F55 STS. Much tighter car, I can push hard through corners with little body roll. It has great reflexes on highway lane changes. Just drop by a dealer that has an F55 car, and take it for a ride, you'll see what I mean.

yeah, that ^^^^

Spend some time to find a 2002.5 - 2003 STS; one built between 01-15-02 and 06-03 (the end of [Seville] STS). Then come back and talk about body roll :sneaky:.

I would figure that it wouldn't have sporty suspension...I assume it would have the best ride possible.
The DTS might have some specion suspension components but id asume the Base and DHS would have a Non Electronic Passive system perhaps
maybe check Rock auto or GMPD and just see what they have listed under shocks and struts to see what it possibly would have

from a glance looking up parts on GMPD
it looks as if the DTS has some sort of a Active Suspension the struts in the front are MSRP price of 969 Dollars with DTS and W/out DTS they are 249.00

rear W/out DTS is 267.00 and with DTS is 902.00

A DTS will be bigger and have much more passenger room than either seville SLS or STS, the DTS still comes with the FE3/F45 suspension and the 300hp northstar with the 3.71 final drive, also a 03+DTS will have a few more features like heated AND cooled seats and a heated steering wheel (not sure how well that would really help) and an awesome feature IMO the night vision (if you can find one equipped)

i know if i could get into that big body but i just feel the Deville is bigger and more bulky then i could be used to id have looked for a DTS
i was thinking about a DHS and doing the conversion to the DTS shifter and counsel like ranger did last summer i was thinking about it but i just decided against it
they are awesome rides i didnt think they had a F45 in it but i guess i was wrong

Haha yeah i drove an sts today, and a dts yesturday. the dts was really sweet but I liked the sts more than I thought I would. I wish I could afford a caddy now but I just can't reasonably.

I tell you guys something else. This might get me flamed but I have driven a couple Mercury Grand Marquis sedans that are SUPER SMOOTH, and I actually really like how they feel, and they are cheaper and smoother than the caddies I have driven...and have more luxuries as far as equipment.

They are only missing one thing.....the shield!
