World's most expensive car!

Here's some updated photos from the Mecum auction\event where the "World's most expensive car", the Shelby Daytona Coupe was auctioned off:

"Bob Bondurant drove the Cobra Daytona Coupe onto the auction block last week at the Mecum Spring auction in Indianapolis. The car, which he drove to victory on July 4, 1965 beating Ferrari for the first time in an American car, obtained a bid of a cool $6.8 million - not good enough for the seller, so it's fate remains unclear at this time.

While in Indy, Bob visited the venerable Indianapolis Motor Speedway where he chatted with A.J. Foyt, Jonnie Rutherford and Sarah Fisher, among others. Practice day was exciting, with Helio Castronoves and Dario Franchetti speeding away on the track...

Bob also participated in the filming of a documentary on the legendary car. He and Peter Brock, the designer of the car talked about its design and history. Look for the show to air some time in August this year..."
