My 2015 Escalade driver's seat has the lane departure vibratory motors in the cushion. They are so large they actually hurt after only minutes sitting on them. I drove for the first three weeks with this problem and developed DEEP brusing from them. Seems other models have same issue in the GM line.

Dealer and I worked the issue in the shop. We experimented with a new seat foam and repositioned the motors.

After some R&D with the lead technician at thedealership, ADAM and I tried various positions for the vibratory motors (these are not actually sensors).

I have studied the problem at length; (35 years of engineering). SOME SEATS HAVE TALLER BOSLTERS. You can feel the motors, but they don't hurt ( wait for the foam to degrade in a few years - PAIN) Others don't feel the issue because their REAR WIDTH is small enough to FIT BETWEEN the sensors... not actually pressing on the sensors.

The solution we have found is to move the sensors far forward; under the thickets portion of the cushion WITHOUT CUTTING THE LEADS or splicing them... and then 3/4 down from the top of the foam.
The vibrations are crisp, clear and you don't feel them.

I am now testing to ensure this is working. I need more time driving to say that it is really fixed.

I am SHOCKED that this problem passed GM Q/C, and then passed CADIALLC Q/C. WOW.

Too many skinny testers at ROUSCH. HIRE SOME LARGER DRIVERS. 350+ should do it.

Anyway, mine seem to be acceptable. Anyone wanting more info can contact me thru www.jdsnvr.com

I hope GM reads this, issues a fix, and sends me new cushions with a repositioned and or smaller motors

Also please make out my R & D check to CASH.

I plan to buy a ZO6 (or Zora Zr1 if real) and a 2016 CTSV... I hope this problem is fixed before these models hit the showroom, or GM will have another ignition switch type fiasco.

How does that make the physical lumps in the seat go away? Try putting a golf ball in the seat under each upper thigh. No software switches will make that lump disappear.

Its not the vibration that is the issue.
