When you have the dealer reprogram the DIC to show your name instead of "Driver No. 1", does it also change the display on the home screen of the navigation display? I know when I had it done on my '99 STS, the radio still said "Driver No. 1" even though the DIC showed my name. But, since the nav head unit is tied into the data bus differently, I was wondering if it showed the name along with the DIC.

I think the driver display thing is IPC specific. Should not matter in what way the NAV unit is connected to the data bus as long as is connected.

I assume this is only available for NAV equipped vehicles?

No. All the 1998-2004 Sevilles and analog dash 2000-2005 Devilles can have the Driver No. 1 and Driver No. 2 customized by a dealer or anyone with a Tech II.

Eldorado shares the IPC with the '96-'97 Sevilles all the way to the end ('02), this option is specific to the newer IPC that came installed in '98 Sevilles first time.
