Hey guys got some pretty exciting news, spoke to Daniel at D3 and after bugging the crap out of him nonstop for weeks he told me that if I could get 10 people together that were seriously interested in the downpipes that he would sell us some. He is calling me back with prices, but he said that on their Vsport it picked up some significant gains, so please let me know if you are interested and I will pass it along. You guys know that it's almost impossible to get performance parts for our cars so I think this is awesome news, thanks

Hi Integra77,
Don't bother with the owner. James Gill is the owner and his wife takes care of the bills and payments. James is just as bad or worse than any of the employees. If you read my post you will see I dealt with at least three of the people there and they all were very shady, non responsive, lying and elusive with their treatment of me!!! I was lucky I got my money back for inferior work and promises not fulfilled. BAD PLACE TO DO BUSINESS.
I am surprised you only had to wait three weeks. From my experience I would expect months for anything.
Just steer clear of D3 and tell everyone you know about their shady practices so they might just end up out of business... which is the way I feel.

@Legacy_GN- completely agree! Do you guys know a way to make D3 actually do something about this. Not sure if publicly shaming them on all the forums and online will work. Does anybody have any idea how to make this company change or just plainly go out of business for terrible customer service through the years. It's unbelievable how many people, and shops that I've talked to that can not stand doing business with them??? Maybe there's nothing we can do, and I'm sure they could care less about complaints on BBB, but there's got to be something that will piss them off and either make them change and show the car communities what this company is about. Any thoughts?

6 years ago I contacted them for a cold air intake on my STS-V and they wanted $1500. Guys on the STS-V forum on this same site got Spectre to make 50 of them for $499 a piece. That's the ticket. Don't waste your time with D3, get another company to do it. And just for reference, they only made a bit more than 2500 STS-V over the whole 4 years. Has to be more V-Sports than that so the business model and ROI is there.

Good advice LEGACY_GN.
When I got the tune from D3 and went through all those headaches with them, which I posted, I have since discovered they use Church tune facility where they took my car to for dyno results and loading the tune. Not sure if the tune was a creation of D3 or if it was Church's tune. Anyway, D3 charged me $895 and my understanding is Church charges $650 for their tune. When I called Church the other day and found they do business with D3 for dyno results I was suspect about D3 and their tune in that maybe D3 was just tagging on money to Church's tune and not really offering anything to customers of their own design. Seemed very suspicious to me. As for forcing D3 to do anything it would be a waste of anyone's time. The more we (as a group) bring light to D3's shady business practices the more people will stay away from using them for anything and this would eventually bring about their demise or at least cause them severe loss of business. Conclude your own thoughts about D3 at this point. Me, I will never go near them again nor will I recommend them for anything, not just for V-Sport either. I would rather wait for other more reputable companies to bring performance for V-Sport to the market, even if it takes years.

I know for a fact D3 uses church tuning and claims it to be their own after charging 300-400$ more. They are a shady company. I always have gone straight to Chirch tuning and always have the owner tune my car he is a great tuner and won't let anyone else touch my car. I highly recommend Church tuning I've always had great results.

Our replies aren't 'canned'. When someone asks about MY support, it is understood that if we say 2014+, that would include the 2014MY and any model year after. As Jbawden put it, you are over thinking it too much.

I remember your inquiry specifically. It's like you just really really wanted to hear that we support 2016 specifically. Our development is always ongoing to ensure compatibility. The information posted covers all the main features of the calibration and we link you to the product page so you can read and research every single aspect of the calibration offered. Posting that in a big wall-o-text in a reply would simply get ignored and is doubling up on something that a potential customer can already find on the site.

I recall there were some specific questions you asked that were not mentioned on the product page, and those were replied to as well. You see our activity on the site. You see the positive reviews. You were receiving timely responses during your inquiry. Nobody can match our calibration and features offered on this platform.

thank you for taking the time to reply. truth be told, speaking with a live person for five minutes probably would have
sold the thing, but the idea of reprogramming, having the unlikely event of something ending up amiss, and being stuck
waiting for an email response, having no recourse or support other than an email being returned, was somewhat discouraging.

the guy who wrote the tune for my turbo diesel is in texas, and it's a side business for him, so he can't reply if you leave a
message during the day, but there is a live somebody somewhere if there is an issue, which there never has been.... and
i didn't suspect there would be a problem with this tune, and you guys have great reviews here.... but it'd be nice to talk to
a live person.....

Hey WOT-Tuning,

When it relates to the tune, and questions about the tune I agree with you that you guys are very responsive and very quick, but when it comes to getting an actual answer without making someone feel stupid now here is where you screw it up. As far as the best calibration I probably wouldn't argue with you, but I have not tried the others, but am really happy with my Trifecta TUNE. When it comes to advertising/marketing products and getting people all pumped up excited before even having the product ready for production and giving us some nonsense time frames with dates, and not actually updating everyone with a viable answer other than "still working on perfecting it, and we it has to go through our 1 billion mile test" you guys totally shit the bed on this one!!! There is no reason to say you are coming out with Downpipes, Corsa Tune (Great Video BTW), Larger Intercooler, Manifold Heat Exchanger, Core Upgrade, and Aftermarket Turbo Wheel (Unbelievable), if you are NOT going to come out with it, to me this is false advertising and it pisses many people off. I'm sure you could care less what people think, but just because you pretty much have a monopoly on the best tune in town for our cars doesn't mean you can be a total dick about things, it's called a little customer service. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you for the tune, but please quit false advertising to this community, oh and btw thanks again only for the tune;)

Per fb Vsport pg I'm so ready for this, sign me up!!!-----What's up guys so here's an update surprisingly, out of no where I get a voicemail from Daniel at D3 saying that finally everything came back and they are now ready to start taking orders on the infamous Vsport downpipes. I couldn't believe it since they were and have been so unbelievably flaky in the past. So I called him back and he said that he needs to get an accurate count on the amount of people that want some, and I told him that it was at least 10 a month or so ago. I left his email at work so I'll post it tomorrow. He needs $150 deposit from everybody that wants them, and then there would be a 2 week turn around time on delivery. He said they are going to be $650 for the pair, and he claims that the D3 Vsport gained over 50hp with these. I still don't trust these guys but nobody else is even coming close to making them, so I might give it a try, let me know who's interested and I will send him an updated list so he knows who to expect deposits from. Also, he mentioned that these are catless downpipes for the time being, he said later on they were going to create some with some high flow cats, but not right now, thanks

View attachment 374521 Come on guys, a bunch of us have been asking for this seems like forever or as soon as the car came out, and it looks legit, I've personally have called so many shops asking for this and had no luck. I sent my deposit to Daniel from D3 almost an hour ago and can't wait to get these damn things on finally, but it looks like we need at least 10 people to make that happen, I'm gonna call D3 tomorrow and get some more questions answered. Per Vsport FB pg, hopefully I can upload these 2 pics on my cell, if not I'll post them when I get home------(Sorry guys that it took me so long, actually typing all this in rush hour right now(not very smart I know). So I just talked to Daniel at D3, and he said they aren't that much louder than the Corsa exhaust, just a different type of sound, no welding required, everything is bolt on with original gaskets, and they sold their Vsport so he can't send any recordings of how they sound. He said that their Vsport got right at 53hp with a home grown intake, and Corsa axle back, he wasn't sure the exact hp that u would get by themselves. Here is his email if u guys have anymore questions. Again they're $650, $150 deposit Remember he needs 10 people to purchase them in order to have it be worthwhile, 10 shouldn't be a problem if u guys were for real when u said u wanted them, hopefully it wasn't bs, and I didn't waste my time)

Very eager to give my money up for this, but, cant stress the importance for us, as consumers, to do our due diligence in making sure we are getting a quality product that lives up to expectations.

I would agree with Syndr78 that the ball is in D3's court, however, Since D3's reputation on this forum is already destroyed, I am not expecting much from them directly.

Integra77, as a shortcut to yield the data I .... and I am assuming others here ..... would need to be convinced that the product is worthy, D3 should be willing to send the prototype version over to you to install and report back on. Thats assuming you are game for that. If not, maybe someone else on the forum??? I would even me willing to contribute a modest $$ amount towards a dyno run(s).

As far as expectations go ... I would have to say positive power gains, feedback on sound, the affects on emissions engine codes potentially being thrown, quality of weld, ease of install and fitment.

All totally reasonable request and what would be expected from any reputable company small batch numbers or not.

@yeahdickey I completely agree with what you're saying, please email Daniel at D3 directly, and hopefully he will get back to you soon. Trust me, I'm the first person to talk shit about D3, because they have given me such bad customer service, that it's amazing they're still in business. I have the same fears as everyone else, I just don't see anybody else making these ever. So not sure what everybody wants to do, but I know a lot of people were saying yes for sure at the beginning, and now once it's available not so sure, and you have to realize that D3 could care less if we bought them or not, to them it's like they're doing us a huge favor, so they're not going to go out of their way, unfortunately this is the only thing we have available on the market. I really wish like everyone else that Trifecta would've kept their word on all the different products that they said were going to come out because I trust Trifecta a million times more than D3, but that didn't happen and now we have to decide if we're going to take that risk. I spoke to Daniel earlier today, and he sounds so laid back and gives some pretty decent answers to questions (kinda always sounds like he's high), and really makes you want to pull the trigger on these, but you all know as well as I, that if anything happens to our cars once we decide to put them on, D3 will disappear and you will have to figure it out on your own, but to me it seems like a good product, and I have done some research for sure, but again I'm not a mechanic. Obviously it's your car, and if someone doesn't feel comfortable then they shouldn't do it, but I hope it works out, we'll see.

I get some of you are not ok with D3 but is there a way we can keep it to a minimum?

I rather near more info about the product than past experiences

:D

...We got it though... D3 is slow to respond and sometimes promise more than what they can deliver (like most prototype developing companies).

Constant bad mouthing might just cause this small oasis of hope to dry up
