TRS-Fabrication already has a proven catted and catless downpipe that a lot of forum members are already running, I am one of them running the catless. TRS products are extremely well made and very fairly priced, especially for the craftsmanship. Trent is also a member here and also drives a 2.0 ATS as well, so you have the best of both worlds in that he tests his stuff on his own car and is here if you have any questions or concerns. the customer service is too notch as well.

If you're looking for a downpipe, I highly suggest talking to Trent at TRS-Fab(forum id ihuntv8). he also makes a great deal of parts for D3 as well. his work is proven and as good as you'll find.

other companies that make downpipes include KPE, BNR, and Vermont Tuning
I have seen some of the other down pipes. I was just shocked at the price.
Not trying to justify the prices... But, if you look at the material, the welding and the fittings, it is all top quality. Now toss in the R&D, manufacturing costs, labor, stocking, web site, order handling, staffing, profit and host of other costs the price may not be out of whack.

I have built a couple of CAI's and the cost is more than you think.
I think he's saying he's surprised how cheap the price is?
Josh, agreed I just wanted folks to know that this stuff costs lots $$$ to develop and sell.
Fleabay parts on a $40k car? No thanks.

You always get what you pay for.

I'm sure you know thousands of companies sell on eBay. it's not ebay parts, it's the company selling the same parts you can buy off their website or any shop that carries their products. just because they sell on eBay doesn't make them cheap parts....

ZZP's will probably be in the same price range.
lol who was it that sold me the PFADT downpipe with the black ceramic coating on it? forgot. but whoever it was....that coating flaked off REAL fast from the heat lol.
I think it was smurfkiller but certainly not his fault about the coating. perhaps the company that applied the coating skipped a step or rushed it. how is the actual pipe holding up don? are you pleased with the sound and power?
anybody ask Trent for a group buy price?

oh the pipe is amazing. i dont know much about quality of the pipe since all it is, is a pipe...but the sound is truly great. very satisfied with the pipe. dont rly care about the coating lol. 10/10 would buy again. as far as i can tell the pipe mentioned by OP is great too. but idk about how these things go with quality. doesnt look like its any different than my pipe. and if i was still in the market for a pipe, i would probably get this one cuz of the price.
^^^ Your PFADT pipe has a mandrel bends and less of a kink than the one posted by the OP. The welds on mine were awesome too. Overall, IMO, there is none better. Whether it translates into much marginal gain over others ones, I don't know.

I would do a group buy and beat price!
How big of a group do you need? PM the price if you can't post here.
