Hi all,
I'm having an issue with my front doors. Both front doors will not unlock or lock with the fob, the passenger door can be opened from the inside or out side by pulling the lock knob up, the drivers door can only be opened from the outside. If the drivers door is unlocked manually, you have to pull the outside handle twice to get it open. Its like it has a pre-catch. The lock switch on the door doesn't work on either front door. The back doors work fine. I don't want to look like a tool rolling down the window to open my door. I've searched but nothing comes up with this same scenario. Any help is appreciated.

I understand. I don't know the answer as I have not had to cross this bridge yet, but know it's coming. The members who do have the answers will need to know the year and what type of entry design you have along with any other associated info you can provide.

DrthWgn,
Most likely the micro switches. Had same problem with my 2008 CTS on both front doors. Replaced the door lock actuator motor and works great, fob works again. The tiny micro switches go bad. Got part at Amazon for 146.00 each. Fairly easy to install but watch a Youtube video on it 1st. Took me about 45 min each door. This is the part number that was for mine.
General Motors 22922943, Door Lock Actuator Motor
Now both rear doors are acting up. Won't unlock with fob if outside ambient is over 85 degrees. need to change those actuators as well.
I don't recall my inside handle not working. I believe the outside handle is fully electronic and the inside is mechanical so something may have come loose stopping the inside handle from working. Easy to take door cover off and check that.
