Don Massey Cadillac (Plymouth, MI) ROCKS!

Went in today to have the hydraulic clutch fluid and brake fluid changed, and I mentioned my dif whining a bit, especially at 52-58 MPH, and maybe they could have a tech take it for a spin and listen to it. Drove away a few hours later with a new dif! They had one in stock even!

I've heard of Lindsay and Chesrown (sp?) doing right by people, and I don't want to take anythink away from them, but the gang (guys and gals) at Don Massey Cadillac in Plymouth, Michigan, are really out to make customers feel wanted and important.

A hundred kudos to Don Massey's crew! :worship:

Im glad to hear some good news for a change. I love my dealer. Val Ward. When I bring it in to fix small things they go through the car without even asking. They give me a loaner or drop me at the office and pick me up when it's done. They never make me feel incovienced. That to me is top notch! That is the way Cadillac used to be. So to FLCADDYADVISOR hats off. This guy is my service advisor and he is a great guy and is one of the best service advisors I have ever had.

Good deal, Gene. :highfive: When I hear guys fighting their dealers to get stuff done, and then your own experience is nothing but good, ain't it great?!

Since I needed to stay longer today than I had originally planned (I thought that they'd at least have to order a dif so I'd be outta there quicker), they offered me a loaner to do my errands. Got a new DTS, picked up the stuff I needed, and all is well. Absolutely top notch!!!
That's great Randy. I think we have several great Caddy dealers here in MI (I know a rather bad one as well). I use Don Gooley for non-Cadillac warranty repairs and body work. My wife was just rear-ended about 3 weeks ago in our Tahoe and I had them fix it. I have no complaints.

Is everything ok? I hope no one was hurt.
WOW!, another Diff? Isn't that your 2nd from them?
- also worth mentioning no hassles about your mods - headers, shifter . . .
. . . gotta wonder if that maggie you are considering would be overlooked as well?!

Yup, 2nd replacement (3rd dif if include original). Had a whine starting at about 42 MPH and peaking in db between 53-55 MPH. I think, actually, they (the dealer) may have contributed to this dif's demise because when they replaced it last summer, they put a seal (or something) in wrong, and it leaked (poured might be more appropriate) so badly that I could smell it when I exited the car. I went around to look, and dif fluid completely covered the whole rear end of the car! Had to go back the next day to get them to fix it again. (But, I still love them.)

And previously including yesterday, NO HASSLES whatsoever about my mods. Glad I got this one, because they may be a bit more sensitive to a maggie ... though ronr recently had his replaced with his maggie. I really think that the better dealers out there know or have been told to not push this issue too hard ... they KNOW the dif is a POS or at least the design causes the dif to fail and they don't want alienate the customer base any more than they already have. Geez, now that I think about it, I bet somebody got absolutely roasted within GM on this whole dif thing. :thepan:

I use Don Massey here in Denver and they as well are GREAT to deal with! Always a loaner car if needed right away, or if short visit they give me a ride to and from work. I'm not heavily modded, but they have always looked the other direction at any mods I do have. My service advisor even emailed me the pictures of the only diff they have had come apart on them, and it was on a maggied car that the dealership installed, all replaced under warranty!
There are some great dealers out there and I say that only because when you have a bad one you know it and wonder how they stay in business.

Yes, my wife and rider at the time were fine but the Ford Five Hundred was not driveable, the airbags deployed and fluid was everywhere. The Tahoe needed new front and rear bumpers and the rear tailgate bumped out and repainted. It still drove perfectly fine. The standard trailer package attached to the frame took the hit real well. We got two new car seats as well (kids not in them at the time).
