Alright I joined this forum just to ask this question cause I'm out of ideas. So basically the dome lights will turn on and off while driving down the road day or night. Mostly when I hit bumps but not all the time. Also no door ajar when the lights come on so I haven't messed with any of the doors. I have gone through unplugging the lights from the wiring harness checking those also unplugged the dimmer to make sure that wasn't the issue. Replaced the fuse and swapped out the relay, and replaced the rear integration module. Also traced the wire back from fuse to the RIM to make sure it wasn't nicked anywhere and causing a short. Also tugged lightly on the backside of the fuse, relay, and RIM to make sure that was good. Then went along the roof banging trying to see if I could cause it to short out. So basically at this point I'm at a loss as to what I can do or test at this point . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Under normal circumstances these lights should only come on if the door is opened, so the issue may be with the door open switch not functioning correctly or having a loose connection. My first thought was that wiring is worn near the front of the door from opening and closing, but it sounds like you checked that.

The only other idea I have is that it is haunted...Mine is too...the Driver Information Screen on several occasions has been found open in the morning!

Seeing you replaced the Rim (it could have short internally) then I would go harness. You could try multimeter to find short, though since it is intermittent then that would be difficult.
Having most disconnected does it still come on? Does it come on with the Rim disconnected? Could be a fray if it does, possibly a connection to a live wire?
