Mine isn't working and neither is the "tow/haul" button on the shifter. Any chance there's a fuse that they are both connected to? I looked that the fuse panel cover and saw nothing about either one of them in it.

Thanks, I would appreciate it. I just found it coincidental that they both aren't working.

The fuses for the brake lights are as follows
Underhood fuse block
Park LP fuse #12(30amp)
Stop LPS fuse#14(20amp)
Chmsl fuse #16(10amp)

Check all of those and see if the lights work fully

I need to know beside the tow/haul mode button what else is not working??

It's only the CHMSL that isn't working as far as the lights. And just the tow/haul button isn't working. Everything else on the truck is fine.

I posted the fuse number for the thrid brake light in my previous post

I will have to look at the wiring diagrams to track down which fuse is for the tow/haul mode button

I saw the post with the fuse #. Thank you. I'm going to check it and see if that's what's causing it to be out. I hope so. It bugs me knowing that it's out, especially when it's such a large part of the lighting scheme of the truck. I'm a little OCD about burnt out lights anyway.

It can be confusing....different years...different fuses. Also, the third lamp is on a different fuse then the tails. And, the third lamp shares the fuse with the trailer hitch. Go figure.

The SUV lamp is different then the EXT lamp and they are not interchangeable.

On the 2002...the fuse is in the underhood fuse block.

2003 and later...the fuse is in the drivers side dash fuse block. See the 'veh chmsl' fuse.

If the fuse is ok...the problem can certainly be in the lamp. New lamps are about $450 and used Ebay lamps are about $300 with no warranty.

Your lamp can be repaired with a warranty for $129 plus shipping.
