Everyone, the following statements are based on my true life experiences with Atlanta Classic Cars of Deluth, GA.
I have been searching for a V for months, literally. I finally stumbled across one that was close, reasonably priced and what looked to be in good condition. So last week I inquired about this particular V.

I was very excited about the car and ready to buy. I called the dealership and spoke with a so-called "salesman". I asked the following questions (his responses included)
-What is the over all condition of the car? - excellent
-How about the interior? - immaculate
-Are there any dings/dents/scratches on the vehicle, because I cannot stomach a car with them. - I looked it over, it looks great.
-How are the tires? - they look good.
-Do you have all the service records/dvd's etc. - Yes i have it all here.
-Do you have any idea with previously owned the vehicle? Was it a mature driver? - Well Matt we are a Mercedes benz dealer, all of our customers are mature drivers, but this car was owned my multi, mutli milionare gentleman, who traded this car in on an E55.
So it sounded like a dream comes true.....so I gave him an offer.
I'll give you 34,500 out the door for it. Nothing more. Please realize I'm taking a whole day out of my weekend to drive down from Charlotte.
-Ok sir you have a deal.
I will be putting 2,000 down, here is my Amex and we will be there at 10-10:30 am Saturday morning.
I think great, so anxiety and delight sets in........Saturday morning 6 am arrives, time to being the trek to pick up my V.
We arrive @ 10:45. The following of events then turns this into the worse trip ever.
1. The car is filthy when I get there. No consideration to even have it detailed.
2. There is a cell phone antenna on it.
3. The tires are BALD, absolutley BALD, down the wear marks
4. The interior is SHIT. The dvd/navigation has scratches on it and looked to have been cleaned with some chemical, The rubberized plastic was worn away in 5 areas.
5. Large scratches on the rear bumper, under the door handles, and 1 on the hood.
6. The brakes were almost gone.
7. The shift knob was totally scratched.
.....
Ok the above was minor compared to the next items. I entertained the guy and took it for a drive.
I turned it on, the seats moved to about 10 inches from the steering wheel, obviously a womans seating, and the DVD flashed "HELLO KELLY" - yes it could be guy, but not with a seat position like that.
- The tranny rattled and clunked through every shift.
- The motor vibrated through the cabin, literally it vibrated your ass
- The motor also sounded like something was wrong with it....by this time i was so pissed I i gave up.
I came back to the dealer. I said, salesguy, why are you trying to F me here, I drove 200 miles to come drive this piece of shit. He tried to keep us there, get us coffee etc. He said whats wrong.....i then told him the above. And that;s about it. I could go into more detailed but the moral of this story is. DO NOT BUY THAT V or ever deal with ATLANTA CLASSIC CARS. thanks.
