Here's the problem: I have a 2004 CTS that ran like a champ until I "totaled" it (but, that's another story). This car ran like a champ except it had the infamous oil consumption issue, requiring you add a quart every 200 miles.
In fact, it ran so well, I replaced it with a 2012 CTS sport 4-door (and I'm still trying to figure out all the bells & whistles!), so I'm going to replace it with a new engine, post-when the consumption issue was fixed?

2) Does anyone know where the GM engine rebuilder is located, and optionally a contact number for ordering, so I can contact them so I can order a replacement engine? Does anyone know how much it costs?

3) Finally, does anyone know what the engine core deposit is?

Thanks!
Dan!

What happened to (1)? I see question (2) and (3), but no (1)!

Regarding #2, according to my parts guy, the GM rebuilt LY7 part number is "long discontinued", so it sounds like there is no longer a "GM engine rebuilder". I found a couple places by googling for "rebuilt LY7 V6" and "remanufactured LY7 V6".

#3 will depend on who you find to do the rebuild.
