so im sure you got from my other posts that i just completed a cam swap. and now i need to do something with the timing.

how can i get it somewhat close to what it should be so that the car will start?

that is my second question of the day. lol

I would run the harmonic balancer to TDC, if you have valve covers off, make sure #1 rockers are both up (valves closed). If covers on, then remove spark plug when you crank it over looking for compression. this will be TDC on #1.

Then make sure rotor is pointing to #1 on the cap.

You now should be able to start the car!
