At my Mercedes Dealer:
The Wheel Locks were installed at no charge.
The Front License Plate Bracket was included with the car and installed by dealer at no charge.

At my Cadillac Dealer:
The Wheel Locks cost me about $107 to install
Today it cost me $107 to install my Front License Plate Bracket.

I'm glad I don't need to use a front license plate. My dealer installed the wheel locks when I bought it but it's included in the window sticker. My escalade hybrid has two wheel locks per wheel which I transferred to the new one. It would be a PITA for the dealer to rotate my tires with three wheel lock in each wheel. Priceless!

I don't know about he locks...except they offered them when we ordered the car, but we didn't want them....but our front plate bracket came in a box in the car when it came from the plant. Sewell put the permanent plate on today free of charge.

Also, when I lived in Florida we didn't have front plates. That's been many years, but are they required now?

Well.....I was with a fantastic MB dealer for 8 years....treated like i was their best customer ever ( I was not ) , but they were very customer oriented and I enjoyed all 8 yrs..... My Caddy dealer... is an exclusive Caddy franchise, the whole experience on purchase was as good or better than at MB, when we reached a deal, the owner at Caddy came out to great me, gave me his personal business card.... told me not to hesitate to call......so, in comparison... my Caddy dealer is just as professional and at the same "high end " servicce that I received at MB .... the only difference? Caddy is part of GM....they can only go so far......MB...well it was "no holds barred" on the customer service...the dealership building itself was twice in size and luxury level.....but I truly like my Caddy guys....they will do all that they can to make sure I am getting the best that they can offer!

Opposite here. The Mercedes dealer is terrible. Same with BMW.

Ask any person about their car and/or dealer experience and the response is always: "You know how much I love my car...well that's how much I hate (insert dealer name here).

The Mercedes dealer is so bad they have a sign posted in service explicitly stating that if you didn't purchase/lease the car from them they will NOT provide a loaner or courtesy transportation.

Your dealer is one of those that Cadillac wishes they could get rid of. That would never happen at my dealer or any real Cadillac dealer, that would all be included. But we all know your dealer is on the very low end since you had to wait so long to get your Escalade.

I also ordered the Wheel Locks when I ordered my car.
But the parts dept. had to install them.
I only ordered the front license plate bracket because it did not come with the car so we could put our personalized license plate.
FL does not require a front license plate.

This is the Picture of the Mercedes with our Personalized License Plate.

This is a picture of the Cadillac before we added the front license plate bracket.

My dealer is like this. Gold Coast in NJ. They are a huge dealership. It is much, much better than the MB dealer I used.

I use Gold Coast in NJ as well. They are an amazing dealer both in sales and stellar service. Never a problem and have been using them for probably close to 15 years. Cant see any of the other high end dealers being any better than them.

$107 to install the front license bracket? I have owned five (5) ESV's to date, and the dealer has never charged me to install the bracket. When I bought the ESV Platinum, the salesman took me over to the body shop, and they put it on in about three minutes.

I get WAY more "free" (well not free but you know what I mean) from my Caddy dealer compared to my MB dealer, never seen a dealership charge for a front license plate holder unless you did not buy your truck there, I am glad I do not live in a state that needs a front license plate because they are UGLY AS HELL. My MB dealer is good they just do not stand on the head like my Caddy dealer does for me

Pics of my new Platinum with personalized plate

I had the personalized plates made for my wife for her new Mercedes in 2013.
I made several so she wanted them on our new Cadi also.

I told dealer that if they installed the front plate holder on our Escalade, I wouldn't buy it! Looks so much better without it and here in Cali, you have to have two license plates on your car. I refuse to run a front plate.
