Whats the difference between a 99 Cadillac Escalade and a 00 Cadillac Escalade?

Does the 2000 have something that the 1999 does not? Or vice versa?

Hi umoms,

I had a '00 for 5 years before I traded for an '05. The big differences were between the '00 and the '02. I know the '99 & '00 were mechanically the same and most of the interior was the same. There may be some minor differences in the On-Star or the engine programming, but nothing major. I know that the shocks were up-graged for the '00 over the '99, but they are probably interchangeable.

Is there some specific question that you have?

Ditto. Engine (255 HP) and transmissions were identical in 99 and 2000 Lades. For that matter, identical to 99 Tahoes & Yukons as well. As stated above, major changes in 2002.

If you are seriously comparing a 99 against a 00, just pick the vehicle in the best overall condition. How a vehicle was taken care of and maintained is more important that a one year difference in age when we are talking about a 7 year old or 8 year old truck.
