Whats the difference between a 2000 Cadillac Escalade and a 2002 Cadillac Escalade?

Does the 2002 have something that the 2000 does not? Or vice versa? Are there any additional Standard or Optional Options? What about colors?

The body styles changed drastically. I favor the 2002 model over the 2000, escpecially the front end.

As for the options, I'm not real sure.

COMPLETELY different models.

The 1999-2000 was essentially an early to late 90's Chevy Tahoe/GMC Yukon with nicer leather and outside fascias, then the 2002-2006 was again based on the Tahoe/Yukon, but the whole line was a complete re-do with new, stiffer frames, suspension designs, engines, etc., with the Cadillac getting a specific computer controlled suspension and 6.0L, in addition to the Cadillac leather and wood.

Then, of course, the 2007+ is another complete redesign, with the most significant changes and refinements of all.

So, specifically, the only remotely similar thing between a 2000 and a 2002 is the name. One is older, with the leaf spring suspension and 90's frame & body, no 3rd seat option, older 5.7L 350, and not a whole lot to make it Caddy specific, and the other is a much more refined, stronger built truck with a new structure, suspension, powertrain, and more.

UMOMS: You have asked a series of very similar questions in the last few weeks re: color options and differences between 99 and 00, then 00 and 02. You really owe it to yourself to go out and drive a few (if you have not already). This forum is a good place for info, but without actually driving an 00 and an 02, we really can't begin to explain the huge differences. 99 and 00, as we all prevously stated, not much difference. 00 and 02-06, you will see, and feel the differences yourself. Good luck.

Pretty much a totally different truck.
The '00 is what we referred to as a "GMT400" or the old body style.
The '02 is the first year for the "GMT800" which has now been replaced by the "GMT900" or '07 Escalade.

The 400 and the 800 are different from stem to stern.
Different seats, steering column, suspension, body, engine, the differential is even different.
The only things I can think of that might be the same are the transmission and the radio, but that changed in '03.
Basically it is a whole different vehicle.
