THe CTS Differential shipped to Diff techniques in Austrailia today...
Hopefully they can come up with something bullitproof for both the diff and axles. Flyboy, I could use one of your snapped axles if you can get your hands on it. They are $350 from the factory, that's not in my budget.:bomb:

I can't wait for the results.
That's great! I hope they can help us. Thanks for doing this!
Marty, let us know what they find out. I hope they can solve the crappy diff problems once and for all.

Marty, the broken axle was repaired under warranty.......go figure. The dealer had to send it back to Cadillac. But I do have a broken diff on my garage floor.....????

Thanks for all your help working with the "Aussies".............

Yea, they probably put a new shaft in the existing joints/.
I could use the front pinion flange if you can get it off. The rear that I had was from a non posi CTS. Its good for dimensions but having the right input flange would help.
Lass, you are the man. The shirts are huge, I wear mine as soon as I wash it again. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
Marty,if you can't find a halfshaft put up a thread asking for a little money from all of us to buy one.I'll contribute

Like I said before, I would be glad to do this as well, on the shaft(s), diff, whatever.

Marty,

Let me know if you need any contributions. Shame on GM for not taking care of this. High performance car, low performance company.

The Aussies received the differential today. To quote they said "I think we can do something with this"....

So now we wait. I still need a donor driveshaft flange and a half shaft. Any of you have parts to donate??

BTW I ran a 13 flat on street tires (toyos) this weekend, maggie of course, slipping belt included. Major wheel spin in 2nd & third.
Hey Marty,

Nice run, 13.0 and you were able to drive home afterwards! What was your MPH and 60' time?

Count me in if you need donations to buy a half shaft to send them. I am hoping that these guys can work something out for us before spring. My half shaft was also replaced under warranty so they wouldn't give me the old one.

Thanks for the offer..

60' was 2.16.. mph was 108. Prior run was 112mph but again, I believe the belt is jumping.
Its probibly way too priliminary but do you have any idea of guestimated cost? Either donation wise or final price? Will it be a direct replacement or modification required? Again thank you for going out on a limb.
and new info on the research for a V-proof diff/assembly?
