I was wondering if anyone else ever had this happen? I had the Bulletin 14591 - piston damage due to engine misfire done the week of Christmas, the car has been running good. Tonight I drove to the mall, turned the car off and the engine was still running, violently shaking the whole car. It only lasted maybe 20 or 30 second and then stopped. I started the car and no warning light, running fine. I told my brother in law this story and he said it sounds like dieseling.

Very strange. It takes fuel, air and an ignition source for an IC engine to run. A hot spot of some kind could provide an ignition source. Carburetors will happily supply fuel if the engine is turning over but I can't imagine a fuel injected engine getting any fuel when the car is turned off. Let us know what the dealer says.
